Valentine's day is coming, and so thinking up of some cheap Valentine's Day ideas for dates or gifts is a great thing to do. A lot of people think cheap means you don't really care, but for many couples it's simply all they can afford to do.
My husband and I are very good at not spending any money for dates or doing things to be together, so I decided to share some of my favorite ideas below here.
A Symbolic Gift: Last year I posted an article about
last minute valentine gifts that was really easy to do. For example, go to the grocery store, buy a banana (they're usually less than 50 cents a pound!) and then tie a note that says "I'm bananas about you!. It's easy, it's cute, and really cheap.Obviously, it can be a little tacky, but if you are in a relationship where that cheesy stuff is appreciated, then it works well!
Go Walking: It might be cold outside where you live, but it's still always fun to take a romantic walk together. Bundle up in your warmest clothes then go for a romantic walk somewhere together.
Cook Dinner at Home: It's always nice to cook dinner at home together, and even better you'll be able to save money on eating out at an expensive restaurant. Light the candles, play some music, and it'll be a nice intimate thing together.
Write a Love Poem: This is Valentine's Day, the day of love! And so of course a love poem is in order! Write it from your heart. If need be, use these
love poems for him as a starting point, or check out some of the
best love poems ever written.
Go Dancing: You can dance in your living room to the radio. Play some music you love and enjoy! If you like alternative or newer songs, you might really like some of these
100 greatest love songs, too. (I love every single song on that list!)
Watch a Movie at Home: Watching a romantic movie together is another really cheap thing you can do, especially if you can rent the movie or borrow one from a friend.
Photo Shoot: Do you have any romantic pictures of the two of you together? Why not spend some time getting pictures of things like you holding hands together or other romantic poses? (Keep it clean! I'm not talking about anything that's not PG Rated here!)
Well, there you have it! Some really easy cheap and quick Valentines Ideas that you can use for the last minute if you've procrastinated or maybe you just really don't have the money you'd like to have to spend on a special romantic day with the one you love.
Remember: It's not about money, it's all about how much you love each other and enjoy one another! So enjoy the time you have to spend together, because every moment is precious, precious!
